Come and join the Planks family we are hiring. We are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to be based in our Manchester office.

Planks is a multi-channel, fast paced, growing business specialising in ski clothing. We are constantly adapting in order to understand the needs of our customers, no matter how they choose to enjoy the mountains. We aim to make great products and provide great customer service for everyone. We are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to join the team in Manchester 2 days a week.

This position will report into the Financial Controller and will be responsible for various finance and accounting activities for the business.  

Job Role

Part-time - 2 days a week: Finance Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: Competitive with benefits

Role and Responsibilities:

- Maintaining records of all receipts and payments

- Reconciliation of the bank accounts

- Processing of purchase invoices

- Liaising with suppliers and completing reconciliations

- Building relationships with customers and chasing for unpaid debts

- Working with the team to get expenses and receipts reconciled

- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

- Help in the preparation of monthly management accounts

- Help improve systems and processes across the business

- Other ad hoc admin and financial tasks as required to support the business

Qualifications & Education 

- Strong academic background

- Possible opportunity to support first stage accountancy exams (AAT, ACCA)

- Driven and shows initiative to make positive changes and improvements to the business

- Passion for Skiing and/or Snowboarding is desirable

- Great communication and interpersonal skills
