Where's Woodsy?
The 2017/2018 season is the one that could catapult Woodsy to becoming one of the world’s biggest names in freeskiing. With another X-Games and the Winter Olympics looming we caught up with him to see exactly how he’s spending his summer, his highlights of the season and of course, his favourite pie.
So Woodsy looking back at the season just past, after a gold, a bronze and more podiums than we can count, are you able to narrow down your top three moments at all?
1, 2 & 3 are all hugging my brother after X Games big air finals. It was the first event that my bro has ever come to watch. He was with me in the Slope and Big Air start gates the whole week, supporting me. This would of been an amazing moment regardless, but to have an X Games gold medal made it all the more surreal!

Awesome. Now the season is coming to a close, where are you heading for Summer?
New Zealand! As soon as I was finished up with the winter (my body was pretty beaten up so had to miss spring time shredding), I headed straight to Wanaka, NZ. It is one of those places I've been fortunate enough to get to know like home, there are so many amazing people and activities to keep me going all summer/ winter long!
What are your top Summer activities?
Skiing (because an addict needs his fix), surfing, mountain biking, skydiving, climbing and the newie for this year will be paragliding!!
Paragliding sounds rad. Where do you find best to shred in the Summer months?
In my opinion, it's Cardrona parks all summer long!!
Where will you be starting the season this Winter?
Around the beginning of December I'll get myself over to Breckenridge, Colorado which will hopefully set me up in the best stead for the coming northern hemisphere winter.
Speaking of the incoming season, how’re you feeling about the Olympics?
Ready to rock baby! As with any event or even situation in my life, I always want to be the best I can be and as far as I see it the Olympics is just another opportunity for me to do just that :)

What’s your favourite pie?
Steak and pepper - savoury. Fruity custard - sweet.
If you had to be a mythical creature what would you be?
Easy; Manticore (head & torso of a man, body of a lion, wings of an eagle, tail of a massive scorpion).
Finally, what was your favourite Planks piece to ride in?
The hand of shred hoodie! Without a doubt, I wear that thing day and night, literally I sleep and shred in it! It's the perfect hoodie as far as I'm concerned!
