UK Dry-Slope Opening Details

While most people are excited to drink their first draught beer in months this weekend, at Planks Clothing we are stoked to see dry-slopes beginning to open their doors for summer shredding. So, we have put together the most up-to-date list of which dry-slopes are open for you all.

We've also featured three of our favourite dry-slope edits from our Planks Grassroots Video Competition over the past three years, to get you motivated for summer dry-slope sessions or inspire you to ski dry-slope for the first time.

To celebrate the re-opening of dry-slopes across the UK, we've picked three of our favourite dry-slope entries to the Planks Grassroots Video Competition over the past three years.

Chris McCormick's entry from 2017 is jam-packed full of style and creativity at Bearsden Ski Club's plastic mountain. Bearsden is home to the UK's biggest dry-slope jump and the legendary Go Big or Go Home competition. You will often find Chris training in LAAX, or travelling to World Cup events with the GB Snowsport squad, but Bearsden is home sweet home for Chris.

Row Emery's entry won Best UK Edit in 2018 and was mainly filmed at his home slope, Stoke Ski Centre, in Stoke-on-Trent. Their freestyle slope is currently being rebuilt, so we are stoked to see more dry-slope action from Stoke Ski Centre in the future.

Finally, we've got another skier from the GB Snowsport squad with roots deep in the dry-slope scene, who goes by the name of Justin Taylor Tipton. In his 2017 entry, Justin displays his diverse dry-slope skills in an edit that was all filmed at Stoke Ski Centre.
